Rightly or wrongly, these albums are what I call 'Ambient Music'
Steve Roach, Brian Eno and Harold Budd are the masters in that genre for me. Yes there are many other superb artists out there making amazing music (Thom Brennan to name just one) but they are ones I play repeatedly and have done for most of my life.
I can't imagine how many times I must have played "Quiet Music", it is for me the perfect antidote after a hard day - beatless, undulating, flowing and calming - especially through headphones with the lights out
