Love on a Real Train (U Mix) |
The original by Tangerine Dream is
probably my favourite piece of music of all time. I have had
many attempts at reworking this track and despite it's initial
impression of being quite simple, it is in fact a showcase of
making something very complex sound that way It's note just the actual melody that gets me either, (though it is absolutely to die for) but it's the mood, the atmosphere and the hypnotic state the repetition of the notes puts you into. Much has been said of it being strongly inspired by Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich - something I only found out many years later and also went on to remix as well - (see here) Whether that is fact or not I couldn't say but there are striking similarities This remains officially unreleased but an edited version was played on the TD Fans Zone Radio Station in November '07 |

Tangerine Dream
My favourite group! Inevitable I would want to try to do my own versions of their music, not that it could ever be bettered - just that it's nice to see where your own musical interpretation will go
